Restful Saturday?

We were supposed to have a restful day yesterday. Mary Caroline had a bye week for her 8:30 soccer game, so we didn't have to wake up and hit the ground running! Well, MC and I decided to drop by the local plant sale. My decorator told me about this architectural piece that would look cool in the bonus room. You'll see the picture below. It is rockin' and it was a great price but I totally suffered from buyer's remorse all day. What in the world was I doing buying this thing at a PLANT SALE?! Anyway, it's a unique piece...shutters from Charleston, etc. It will look good in any house in any room. I'm sure there will be a post on hanging the heavy thing down the road.

P.S We did get the girls some plants and they are excited about their 'responsibility.' Maybe their excitement about the plant responsibility will overflow to other responsibilites inside the house. HA!

Meanwhile, Emily had a princesses and pirates birthday party and was super excited to dress up in her princess dress. Even though she woke up with 'that' kind of crazy hair, she transformed into the diva that she is.

MC decided that it would be a great day for a picnic, so we picked up some friends at the end of our walk for an impromptu lunch outside. What a morning! Don't worry...Jake had a great day too! He's starting to take steps frequently. I see walking in his future - the VERY NEAR future.
