Sorry that I haven't updated the blog, but our internet has been down. Jake was born last Wednesday at 8:38am. He weighed 7 pounds 9.7 ounces and was 20.25 inches long. His platelet count shortly after birth was 265,000 which is normal. We came home on Saturday and the whole family is adjusting well. When Jake was seen by the pediatrician on Saturday morning, his weight was 7lb 2oz, but he had gained 8 ounces by our appointment on Monday morning! Needless to say, he loves to eat. They also rechecked his platelet count and it was 225,000 which is still well within the normal range.
I will update again with pictures tomorrow. Thank you again, everyone, for your prayers and support. He is such a special boy to us and we cannot wait for you to meet him.
